I'm a twenty-something single, northern girl from the UK.
I run the family business through the day and have my own business 'Emma's Cuti-calls' at night and weekends.
Our family business is a children's nursery that we opened in Jan 1988.
I left school and did various things until it was my time to join the family business and slowly take over from my mum running it.
Dad died in June '09 which turned my world upside down. I had to earn more money and so opened my own little business to get some more pennies.
Emma's Cuti-calls started in Jan '12 when I qualified as a Gellux Nail Technician. I'm mobile and now do; gel polishes, spray tans, facials, massages, eyelash extensions (- both party lashes and semi-permanent ones), eyebrow shaping and eyelash/brow tinting. My list grows and grows. I'm quite proud that a little business I half-arsed set up for some pocket money has really taken off and I now have a fab regular client base.
As for me, well, I'm not your average girly girl. AT ALL.
I'm honest to the bone - sometimes painfully so. I'm loyal through and through and swear like a sailor. This blog probably won't turn out to be the typical girly bog. In the slightest.
My best friend, Jen, has put up with me since we were 4 years old. Far longer than anyone who is not related to me and therefore has to put up with me (even some relatives have dwindled away). I'm not sure what her reasoning is. Maybe she's just a glutton for punishment. Mentally unstable perhaps. Who knows. Anyway, she's BIG into blogs. I mean BIG. She has her own design company - 'Magic Feather Designs' and has been pestering me about starting a blog.
Quite what she thinks a technological moron is going to do with a blog I have no idea. But here goes nothing . . .
SO, my plans for a blog. Jen was on FaceTime before, going through the basics and laughed in my face with my efforts of designing - so has now nominated herself to do all design work.
Apparently I have the easy (!) role of writing interesting stuff. Personally I find myself hilarious and extremely interesting. As for others - meh.
Again, this could be a learning curve of me being not half as entertaining as one might hope.
I'm planning on blogging about all things me. That would be my beauty stuff (still makes people giggle to think ex girl racer tom-boy Emma has a beauty business), my babies (sugar gliders - go google them........ aren't they just precious!? if you want to learn about them, I am part of the admin team at Sugar Glider Forums UK) and my general life.
Wish me luck. I'm hoping to get a few followers. Even if it is more out of morbid curiosity . . .
